Tips for a good rollerset?

I'm going to do a rollerset tomorrow.
Last time I did it, it came out very frizzy.
That was before LHCF though, so I didn't know about moisturizing.

Would you suggest that I stay under the dryer or just keep the rollers in for a couple of hours. (If so how long)

I think you can reduce the frizz by making sure your hair is completely dry. I set my hair with Chi Straight Gaurd lotion, roll it up and sit under the dryer for about 1.5 hours.

My ends are texlaxed so even if it's dry, my ends are sometimes frizzy so I'll put a bit of moisturizer on the ends at night and put a few rollers on the frizzy ends and it comes out fine the next morning.

Make sure your hair is detangled well.
Apply a light amount of product, and some anti-frizz serum or mousse.
Make sure the hair is flat on the roller. The best advice I've read is roll, pull, roll.
The way it looks on the roller while setting, is the way it'll look when its dry.
Keep the hair wet, especially the ends. Keep a spritz bottle close by.
Keep all the tools wet as well. Keep a cup or bowl near, to dip in the rollers or comb.

If you don't like to stay under the hood for too long, sit under for at least 20-30 mins. Then airdry, and come back to the dryer towards the end.

Trick is to go easy on the products...

All I use is leave-in conditioner (water based), serum and a little oil

I do not use setting lotion, but I spritz each section with water so that it is soaking wet before rolling. And then be sure to dry fully...mine takes just 45 mins under the dryer but I don't know what type of dryer you have so it could take longer for you. Test one to make sure it is fully dry before taking the rest out

I was trying to post my rollerset results but it seems that fotki is down. You can the link in my sig to see my rollerset results (2008 folder) whenever it comes back up

Its seems for me that water based products makes it harder for me to detangle. I also notice alot of hair on the floor once I comb out my curls, I think its from all the detangling I have to do, then again it could just be all the hair thats been shedded. But on the flipside I love rollersetting Im still new at it but I love the results of my hair verses blowdrying and I rarely flatiron anymore.
