Sounds like a chorus singing! I share many of what has been expressed.
Since joining LHCF, I wash every 4 days. Use a conditioner with a light protein after every shampoo. Moisturize. I protect the ends with Mango Butter. I always air dry and have not needed to flat iron my hair since I tie it down with a scarf. I wear my hair up off of my shoulders. Sometimes in a twist, bun or bear claw clip.

I have many products, but I have sworn to keep it simple until one product stops giving me the desired results.

I went looking for help because I was determined to have long RELAXED hair - and I'm on my way! Airdrying has been a huge help to me (thanks Isis!)
Using real deep cons instead of 1 minute cons.
Henna - now my skunk patch will stay covered!
Indian oils and herbs - amla oil, amla powder, shikakai powder, jasmine oil
Handling my hair like fine silk - I was real rough:eek:
I read all product labels!!!

Taking my vitamins
Wash/dc 2x weekly
Protective Styles/Baggying
Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize hair EVERYDAY
Always use a wide tooth comb ALWAYS
Always wear a silk scarf
Do not towel dry hair
No heat (for me) grows my hair fast

You summed it for me, except I DC once a week!

WELL MY PROBLEM HAS ALWAYS BEEN DRY ENDS, I'M ALWAYS BATTLING TO KEEP MY HAIR MOISTURIZED. SO FOR THE PAST 3 WEEKS I HAVE BEEN SLEEPING WITH A PLASTIC HAIR CAP UNDER MY SATIN SCARF. BEFORE PUTTING THE PLASTIC CAP ON I MOISTURIZE MY ENDS WITH BLACK CASTOR OIL AND ORS OLIVE OIL, OR CASTOR OIL AND S-CURL MOISTURIZER. THIS HAS HELPED MY HAIR ALOT, SO I'M VERY EXCITED TO SEE THE FUTURE THE BENEFITS OF THIS. I'VE ALSO CUT DOWN ON THE HEAT AND AIRDRY 95% OF THE TIME NOW. I'M NOW WORKING ON CUTTING DOWN ON MY HAIR PRODUCTS AND TRYING TO BE AS SIMPLE AS POSSIBLE, BECAUSE I'M REALLY TORN B/T THE NTM LINE AND KERACARE. BOTH WORK VERY WELL FOR ME, THEY JUST VARY IN PRICES.

*Airdrying
*Washing and deep conditioning 1x a week
*Henna & Indigo
*CON poos
*Aubrey Organics conditioners
*Washing hair in braids and detangling in sections under shower stream
*No combing airdried hair

- Avoiding airdrying. My hair dries crispy and is prone to breakage
- Elucence moisture balance conditioner. Very moisturizing and provides instant slip.
- Always sleep with a hair cover.
- Deep conditioning every weekend.
- Dominican salon, that comes out my hair very gently, and only blowdries roots.
- Salerm 21 Leave-in conditioner. Saves my ends.
- Tigi Ego Boost - It's a leave-in, I use every few days on dry ends and seal with Kemi Oyl (another godsend).
- Following the latino chicks and adding more protein to my diet, I know eat beans (fresh or canned), fish, etc. and it's made my hair grow faster and stronger.

How do you use your Jasmine Oil? I have some that I was going to try out as a Pre-poo.
