Anyone who uses natural butters like avocado or shea or palm in it's natural state like no preservatives or anything...do you keep it in the fridge and about how long does it stay good? TIA:grin:

I keep it on my dresser or in the bathroom no need to refrigerate. Keeping my butters at room temperature helps them to spread on my skin & hair much easier than the fridge.

I keep my shea butter unrefrigerated for months. It never went bad. I usually use it up after 3 months at the longest. I wouldn't try to buy enough to last a year or anything though. :look:

I leave mine out in the bathroom in a closed tub. I have had it for at least 6 months, so I guess you can leave it unrefrigerated.

I leave mine on the dresser in a closed tub. I've had it for about a year now and it hasn't spoiled at all.

Shea butter. I keep my current coconut/shea/jojoba/peppermint mix at room temp but keep my straight shea butter containers in my freezer wrapped in saran sealed with aluminum foil. Natural raw shea does not go rancid.
