but what's the point of mixing things into a bottle/jar/applicator bottle???? like EVERYONE has a jar with a little concoction in it. it is always some weird color or texture. :lachen: is this just a convenience thing, so that you don't have to apply the products one at a time or is there another purpose. I kind of like having my products separate so I can tell what is causing what and I can switch up if I need to without having to buy whole new bottles.

I don't do it, but some ladies like making their own products. For example, some ladies like S Curl as I do myself and just purchase the main ingredient which is glycerin. They add whatever else they like to use to moisturize their hair to it for added benefits. So, I guess in a way it maybe to not have to apply several things, but all at once.

I think sometimes we do it to counteract the effect of one product or to mask the smell. For example I add a whole bunch of stuff to my MN because MN used alone can cause headaches. HTH
