ITA, personally that's way too much for me, youve got to know when to say when, but if thats what they want and it makes them happy then great for them.

We should all take courage. This is a lesson for us all. Look around you anywhere you want to...how many women are wearing their hair that long. And white women.....how many of them can grow hair that long..this stuff has to be cultivated, encouraged....drawn out, worked at like a full time job and pampered and loved. But you start the love at the first 1 inch of growth and don't stop loving what ever hair at what ever length you have. Hate, and abuse will not grow beautiful long healthy hair. And white women who abuse their hair, struggle with their hair too. (overbleaching, razor cutting, letting it blow in the wind all the time, wearing it out in extreme cold weather, multiple repetitive full length color jobs.... extreme heat without a thought or any protector....peeling the ends, twisting and yanking it....you see a lot of tow up heads with them, but they camouflauge it with all kinds of hair color, products and serums, and sprays etc. etc. ) You can look at their hair and tell when it is unloved too. So beautiful hair....IT BEGINS IN THE MINDS LADIES. BEFORE we CAN ATTAIN YOUR FONDEST DREAMS ABOUT OUR HAIR...we might need a mind heart and attitude adjustment. Stop demanding and start encouraging our hair. Stop ridiculing and despising our hair and LOVIN' IT. SO FROM NOW ON, I'm lovin' it!!! bonjour

That was lovely & well said. :)

One woman that I know had hair that is almost to her calves (now that I think of it, it might be about 6in. from her ankles) she wears it in a bun almost all the time, she has had it trimmed I think once in her 29 years (she was young), she's had perms before, but since she has to sit on her hair when she wears it down it dosent stay. She uses hot sticks sparingly, and she has really thick healthy hair that is still growing. Its all about how you treat it. You don't even have to do much with it, just treat it with care when you do handle it.

I personally think that hair that long is beautiful, but it has to be well taken care of.

Me too! ;)

You probably know more, they just keep it up! Post some pics when you go to the convention next year.

As long as it's thick and healthy (without those wispy ends that a lot of long-haired people have), I think it's pretty. Not as much length that I would personally wear, but good for them...

 Holy moly. Suddenly waistlength doesn't seem so far away  Can you imagine what kind of cool updos and braids you could do with hair that long?? *mesmerized*

This is too long...I personally, don't think it looks attractive either...I like long hair but this is over the top. IMO
