Well, today was a henna day. I have not henna'd since December, but I have never had a stain quite this vibrant or deep!!

I can see the color when it's still wet....

I thought something was a bit different when I saw the stain on my arms...like an oompa loompa..

It has not even oxidized yet, what will day 3 bring?

Oh well, I need to go to sleep. I'll report back if I look like Sideshow Bob in the sun.

The only thing I did differently was steep my amla overnight and strain it. I wanted to make sure the little rocks, sticks and crap were gone (FNWL Amla). The amla liquid was enough liquid to add to the henna without extra water. I did not even leave it on as long as I usually do.

yes please update! I'm supposed to henna for the first time this weekend I'll hold off for your update:)

girl you gettin me nervous!

I am doing my 3rd henna treatment today. I actually left it out on my balcony overnight and all day today (in this Florida heat) until I get off work. Previous treatments I haven't let sit for this long so this should be interesting. My hair is dark brown and I didnt mix anything with my henna besides pectin, water and OO. I plan on adding some conditioner before applying tonight.

I kinda want a good stain though so I can have a lil color for a while since I plan doing the jet black indigo thing soon.

Day 1 update

It is definitely coppery red. My hair was in a bun all day.
Work kept me from seeing any sun today. :(
But in the indoor lighting, I could really see the difference.
My natural level is light golden brown with two lighter strips in the front. (since I recovered from the coffe bean addiction).

I stained my head/ears/neck a little, but my co-worker said she couldn't tell. But it made my furry sideburns more obvious. :ohwell:

Good News - no hardness, or severe tangling/matting that others experienced recently. I only used a rinse out con and not a deep moisturizing con because of time constraints.

I need some sunlight and something better than a camera phone.
