EKOMBA! Imma get you! I joined this board after lurking for about 5 months in January. I believe we did the BC around the same time and your hair is now TWICE my length. I just wanted to put you on blast AGAIN(cause I know someone else probably already did) and congratulate you on your thriving hair.

I m so so sorry Firestarter : ( I did not know what was the subject matter and got curious to what does not make any sense lol:lachen: i just seen this thread today when i was doing a search on growth lol i know it s way old i usually respond in a timely manner and this one is dated march thank you for the shout out and thank you to you gals! and i apologize:D

Yes her growth is the BOMB!!!! I have never in my life seen someones hair grow that fast, even though she may have incorporated alot of different things to get there, that is the best part about it to me, she had a goal and a regimen that she was determined to reach and complete and she has done a darn good job to get where she is today, you should be Future of the Month for Sept. CONGRATS Girl!!! and keep on growwing. :D Consistency is definately the key!

Thank you Naturallady and SecretDiamond!!!:p

lol BeautifulWideEyes thank you !!! that s kind of you. i may sound crazy but my secret that is not a secret and that i apply to all areas of my life: I visualize myself with my waistlength hair and i act like i already have it. If you ever notice even when i speak i always mention the word waistlength:lachen: so its sssssssssso engrained in my brain the universe has no choice but to bring it to me lol just kidding but this is the truth

i been mocked so many times by friends and family cause my hair grows usually slow 0.25" a month so 4inches a year and i dont know the day i started to visualize myself already there everything changed. You have to be determined, patient, disciplined and put the hair away, care for it and forget about it. i do my routine like a robot and i dont check the length only when i reach a milestone or have to redo the hair. It s hard not to be able to play with it and have it away most of the year but trust me you will have setbacks, but the problem is we see our goals has something foreign far away, me my friends always say ekay u talking like you getting that waistlength hair tomorrow lol and me now when i think wow now i m only 10.5inches away from waistlength in the back it makes me think it s nothing cause in my mind i m already there; visualization is so good for the soul lol   :lachen: like they say what do u have to lose; i never speak defeat to my hair cause i know i m already there. it s kind of positive thinking i guess but for everything even this forum lol i been taking notes for a year, i save threads i have a hair journal where i write down what works from members and try it at home, eliminate things lol i know i m really determined i feel sometimes i m in school cause when there s an ingredient i dont understand lol i research it all the time.

but on the real ladies, get and do a visualization board for your life trust me i have mine at home it s like a collage; i ve been doing it since i was a kid; i saw myself living in the states and now i do; you just have to see yourself with the result. sorry if i sound spooky lol i read a lot of motivational books, i m into spiritual, self-help/empowerments type of stuff (it keeps u grounded lol) and my fotki is also one of my visualization board keeping me grounded and reminding me of what i do. You will see that once you see yourself there no matter the setbacks and bad hair days you can just leave the hair alone put a wig or scarf and wait it out till you feel better! cheers and lets grow lol
