It's called jilbere and I picked it up at Sally's Beauty Supply for only .99 cents.

Since I've been using it, I've had no hair in my comb!!!

That's a major achievement for me.

Hope this helps you all who have hair breakage/shedding issues as well as it's helped me.:)

Is this the shower comb? It was amazing:grin: when I first did my big chop...however, since my napps have gotten bigger I haven't been able to use it quite as much. :ohwell: If you have relaxed hair though you should probably be able to use it for a really long time.

It's just a regular comb with rounded, plastic coated tips.

I wish I knew how to post a picture of it to show you what it looks like.

I am 11 weeks post, was mid-back (till I went to the beautician this past Sept.-I won't be going to another one) and am hair type 4abcd...zzzzz.

I think you are talking about the shower comb. Great find.

Just make sure you use a smaller toothed comb afterwards and don't rely soley on that comb for the detangling process. The comb doesn't get all the shedded hair/tangles out which led to matting for me.

I can only use this for the first couple weeks after a perm. I use the MEBCO(from Sally's) detangling comb after that. It's REALLY good on thick coarse hair.

ditto, The MEBCO comb and the Deman brush go hand in hand. I use that
jilbere in the shower to detangle.

Excuse my ignorance, but what is matting??? I use this comb so I'm really curious to know of its drawbacks.

I was gonna get that one!!! But I got this one instead (pic below) which I LOOOOOOOOVE. This thing glides straight through my hair. it was a lil expensive (6 bucks) but I plan to get another one, just in case they discontinue it. It's called the Goody So Gelous (it has a gel grip) Detangling Comb.

I love that comb!! I can't find it anywhere. Where did you get yours?

I love my Jilbere. I have been a faithful user of this comb for about 4 years. I tried the Mebco comb and it does not work for me like the Jilbere does. Good choice M&Q.
