I am getting a relaxer tomorrow and I was DREADING having to comb through my dry hair tonight to make sure there were no major knots or tangles before I go to the salon. I've fallen into a great habit of only combing my hair wet with conditioner or leave in. Because all of my combs are wide-toothed wet combs, I went to Sally's and purchased 3 dry hair combs to try out. The Comare dressing comb just glid (is that a word?) through my 4a/4b hair:D after I massaged in some WGO. Actually makes me wonder "Why get a relaxer so soon?"

I don't see many threads about combs or brushes. What are you using?

I'm aware that brushing and combing cause damage so I also try to comb or brush seldomly. When I comb I use a regular wide tooth and as for brushing I'm in love with my Denman D3.
