Has anyone else seen this ad on this site for Gifts of Compassion? I'll check out this charity. Apparently you donate $45 and a family gets a real goat..they also have chickens ( $16 donation), cows ($100), pigs ($75), etc., among other items.

My family has seen some ups and downs this year but nothing like others around the world. I think giving a gift like this as a family will put some real perspective on what it really means to be blessed.

Great idea. A local talk show host was speaking about this the other day. Definitely more of a lasting impact on lives IMO. I think we will definitely incorporate this into our holiday giving at my place.
