i have a GREAT half-wig, but i htikn there's too much hair - dare i get thinning shears and try to do it myself, or is it harder than it looks?

Did you buy it at a salon? If so, they normally alter them for free.
I used to buy some really nice human hair wigs, and the place where I bought them had a salon that did regular hair servies, as well as weaves, fusion and helping with trying on wigs and trimming or cutting or dyeing them.
Any service on their wigs was free, I took one back after wearing it kind of long for a year, decided I wanted it to be jaw length, and she trimmed it right up for me, no prob.!
Even if you didn't buy it rom that kind of place, there are hair places that do trim wigs, that way it won't get ruined accidentally, since they don't grow back!
