My hair is Ùber thick. It is unebelievable. I am thinking of going to my stylist and have her thin my hair out.
Are there any products that increast legnth but not thickness?

The creamy crack would definitely thin it out lol.

Seriously, I'll take that problem from you any day :-)

i wouldn't do it!! of course, its up to you but...i had the same problem. went and got my hair thinned a few years ago and its never been the same. Ever. Again!

also...how old are you??? your hair might just thin with age...i'd wait and let nature take its course and just figure out how to deal with that thick ole lush head of hair of yours.

of course, the choice is yours.

I wouldn't do anything to thin out your hair. As your hair grows longer, it will naturally get a little thinner.

However, as my hair gets healthier, it gets longer and thicker so take my advice with a grain of salt...

Bumping for you!

I am 23. And I guess I could learn to deal with it. Jusr wish it could grow longer than the upper part of my back
I want beautiful hair like my mom's down to the bottom part of my chest. I want beautiful hair like mommy's and she wants my legnth(rolls eyes)

Look at all that luscious thickness :lick:
IMO you shouldn't get it thinned out. Many would love to have more thickness. Think of the thin-haired people and step away from the scissors. :look:

:look: ugh you're right
I've seen some not so pretty thinned out hair :roll eyes: I guess I need to keep using my Dr. Miracle( love that stuff) and deal with the continuing thickness  it'll work itself out :yep:

Don't thin it out, learn how to deal with it. It won't be so bad when you learn what it likes and doesn't like.

I see that you are still fairly new. Take more time and do more research on how to properly take care of your hair. It'll get easier as it gets longer and you have more knowledge.

get a stylist to razor cut it a bit...
**scary**
the only other way I know is abuse...dyes and chemicals

Please don't give me no dang side eye. it takes a ton of WORK!!!!!!!!
Ugh.
haha-i'm only kidding.
i've heard hair can be cut in such a way to take out the bulk-this is normally done on curly hair. you should talk to a great stylist to discuss your options.

OP what length are you, hair seems thicker at the shorter lengths, however as it gets longer it appears to be thinner.

As one member stated above if you are not adverse to chemicals, relaxing/ texlaxing will make it seem more manageable and cut down on the volume.

Btw what are you doing to make your hair so thick???? :sekret:

Don't get your hair thinned-out- when it grows out it will be even harder to deal with. Be glad you have that thick hair so many ladies wish they did!

Natural grape seed oil, dr miracle growth balm, pantene beautiful legnths shampoo. Olive oil deep conditioner
Weaves 6 months. Relaxed six months
I recently have stopped flat ironing and I do roller sets now. My hair is down to my armpits when straightened. I had my hair layered 3 years ago. Never again it was a NIGHTMARE

My hair gets thicker too, but I love big hair, so I have no problem dealing with it.

I wouldn't mind as much if I didn't get side glances from stylists and always told (you need a perm)
I don't perm it ALL
The time. Maybe every six weeks. Stylists be too perm happy. I'm blessed now with a stylist who gets it!!! Rock your thickness!!

The grass is always greener huh? Most ladies would trade places with you for uber thick hair. Anyway, I woud suggest you do as the ladies advised to thin your hair out a bit. I'm about ready to cut off my relaxed ends since they look so thin in relation to my natural hair:look: Thick hair looks healthier IMO.

Never thought of it that way

Pics please. Seriously, I would embrace the thick hair. Many people pay for products, fake hair, etc. to make their hair thick. Like others have mentioned, hair tends to thin with age. One day you're going to wish you had it.
