I would first recommend that you visit a dermatologist. You should also try think about what maybe causing your hair to thin, for example diet, over-processing (chemicals), tight braids, or it maybe hereditary.
Anyway, something that helped me was increasing my protein in-take, stretching out my relaxer (3 months instead of monthly), using mild protein shampoos/conditioners and vitamins (hair, B-5, biotin and silica).
In the meantime, you may also want to try out the the Carrot Juice Challenge on this board. Drinking carrot juice does thicken hair in a short period of time.
