I don't want to use coconut no more because got to keep running hot water to break it down and its clogging the sink because some oil that is on the jar from previous use and even if I run hot water down the drain, it does nothing so I have to use draino, jojoba oil is expensive for no reason and castor oil is too thick and don't want to heat that up or have to mix it to cover the smell, any suggestions? Looking for something that has a pleasing smell and not too light because I like my hair to be moisturized and not to heavy to make bouncy hair flat. No:no Thanks ladies! Or men if any be on here lol

Why don't you keep your coconut oil in a microwavable container and just microwave it for a few seconds before each use? I have put the jar (plastic) and a bottle of it in the microwave..

it sounds like almond oil! no smell, definitely moisturizing (my hair laughs at light oils), not too heavy. (great for diluting castor as well). And there are often very cheap ones in the Indian sections of supermarkets.

Grapeseed oil all day! No smell, super moisturizing, contains ceramides.
Second to that would be almond oil for the same reasons.

Safflower, sunflower and grapeseed are all excellent oils. They are high in ceramides and have no smell. Plus these are light oils and they do not leave your hair feeling heavy or greasy.

I've come to love coconut oil. I've never had a problem with the drains....do you use a lot of it? I just keep mine in a small container and melt it in my hands when I want to use it. I only use a small amount and it melts quickly in my hand.

I like safflower and evoo too but evoo is heavy.

I put it in a applicator bottle and occasionally some might come out or some get on my hands and I have to wash it off

Grapeseed oil awesome. I also like sweet almond oil. My hair doesn't like light oils like jojoba or apricot usually. But it likes almond oil.

Sent from my iPhone using LHCF

Just wipe it on a towel girlie lol....or do you just not like the oil?

I love the benefits of it but I hate how it starts to smell spoiled in my hair....maybe it's just me but imma keep using it.

olive, wheat germ to dilute castor oil, sesame, avocado, or almond
all are good I like olive wheat and grapeseed best jojoba is pricey but it's closest to your own sebum

100% pure Argan Oil hands down. More expensive then others but soooo worth it.

I use it to seal. It's too expensive to mix with DCs

I know you said you don't want to use castor oil but I LOVE it! I just warm it up a little bit and spread it on my hair lightly and it usually does the trick without being too heavy.

I heard it was good too but didn't want to heat it up like I have to do to the coconut when it gets solid

I keep my coconut oil on the radiator in my bathroom.

I've been liking Sapote Oil lately. Its light, absorbs well. Smells weird though, but it the scent doesn't last.

I didn't even know that oil existed, omg so confused lol

Avocado
Grape Seed
Hemp Seed

I'm thinking this is going to be my list as well, along with castor oil for my scalp. I really like the smoothing/softening effect of hemp seed and I tried grape seed ages ago and really, really liked it. Going to get some more...Avocado I haven't tried but it's on my list.

Wild Growth Hair Oil Light. No joke it's the bomb.com

Lightest oil I've ever used and it doesn't smell like the original. It smells really good.

I use it to seal and for my scalp after a wash because it's the lightest oil to use and doesn't get me greasy when I want the fresh rollerset swing for a few days.
