Thinking of Getting a Short Cut? I did, again. (pics)

Okay...you guys saw the bob that I installed for myself back in September. Well I decided that I loved the short look so much that I'd get it professionally done. I had this weave installed last month, and it was arm pit length (first few pics). This is my first time with a full head weave with no hair left out. I thought it would look too wiggy, but I love it. All of my hair is braided up, and I don't have to worry about using heat to blend hair that I use to leave out.

Anyway, I got bored with the first length, and decided to cut it myself. I cut it to about SL. I then decided to go to SuperCut, and have them give me a short bob. I absolutely love it! I've gotten so many great compliments with my short cut. Hmm..I've never gotten compliments on my real hair IRL. :look::ohwell::perplexed Oh well.

This is after SuperCut cut it into a bob. The front is a little longer than the back. I love it. It's super low maintenance. Why do people with long hair ever cut their hair. Anytime I'm fiening for a short look, I'm definitely going to weave it up.

Your hair is the bomb. Looks so natural......I almost got upset because I thought you really cut off all that long pretty hair.
 
Very nice! :up: What a great idea! I wore a full weave for about 5 years, but it was for length, not for a short look. Neat! You are very pretty too!

Thank you! No, I installed my first bob with chinese bangs last month, but it only lasted for two weeks. The braids weren't tight enough. I got this one done professionally. You can check out the pics of the one I did in my fotki.

Aww...thank you! That was really sweet. I think the only length that probably won't fit is that really short Halle Berry cut from back in the day. I tried that once, and look a HAM.:lachen:

Thank you! :blush: Yeah I didn't think about getting it for a short look until I saw someone else do it. It really is a great idea if you're really not interested in cutting your real hair.

Uh uh...I can't bring myself to cut my hair. Thank you! The stylist did a good job closing the weave. I never wanted one because I thought they all looked wiggy, but she's a pro. My only negative is that she braided it too tight, but I'm just making sure to keep moisturizing my edges.

I've been wanting to get a cute bob wig (I don't trust anyone around here to weave me up, lol)
 
I bet youre in Houston. I'm in grad school at UT in Austin right now and I sooo want to go back to my home. Getting weaves professionally done in Houston are so nice, and I've seen so many examples. You can get great deals on installs there too. Austin sucks, I think there's like 2 people here that install weaves and they charge ridiculous prices upwards toward 180 for just OKAY jobs. I need to hide my hair, so I'm just going to get kinkies and call it a day.
 
Girl I am loving your hair, I just have to say it is beautiful. I got to get me a nice wig in that style to see if that cut would look great on me.:grin:

Yep, I sure am in Houston. They do have talented stylists out here, but it is kinda expensive. My cousin pays about $60 in Florida, but mine usually cost $180-$200.They do good work though so I don't usually complain especially when I can hide my hair for three months at a time. This bob is the lowest manipulation EVER. The only thing I do is smooth it down or brush it and go. You just gotta love that.
 
Wow, i have to admit i did not read your whole post at first i was too eager to see the hair cut. I was just sitting here gawking at your hair going oh my gosh her her looks amazing, it's soooo healthy.

I can't believe its a weave it looks great and the cut is lovely it frames your face really well. Beautiful.
