Thinking about getting a SILKENER

I live in Maryland and I am thinking about getting a silkener like the ones Miss Jessie puts in I would like to know if anyone knows a salon that puts in a silkener in Maryland

A silkener is a chemical process so your hair won't be natural.
Maybe braid out? Twist out? Even shingling as seen on Miss Jessie's site as well?

Wouldn't that just be a texlax in any other salons? Good luck though.

Yea "silkener" is what Miss Jessie's/Curve Salon call texlax.

OP, go for it, if looser curls are what you're aiming for. There are plenty of texlaxed members and threads for you to look at for info. But keep in mind, you won't be "natural".

It's a texturizer/texlax procedure. I loosened my curl by texlaxing for 5 minutes, my afro is still in existence!!!

As for a salon, I'm not familiar.

in terms of result it is texlax, so I guess it has a little part of unpredictability.
I guess a good hairdresser should give you the result you are looking for (more or less natural looking).
in terms of the general health and behavior of your silkened hair (treatments, hair care, issues), you will have to treat it as if it was relaxed, being it a chemical treatment.
