Things to look forward to when Jesus comes back

With all that's going on in the world, it just tells me that the return of Christ is getting closer. Even if I die before He comes back, I will still get to be with Him in heaven. Either way, I win! And here's what I won't have to see or deal with anymore:

- No more fear of getting mugged, raped, or murdered
- No more terrorists attacks
- No more pain or suffering
- Not worrying about living from paycheck to paycheck
- No more illness
- No more living in a world where sexual immorality is rampant
- No more abortions
- No more arguments within the Body of Christ
- No more getting up early in the morning five days a week to work a job for a company that I do not like very much anymore

I could go on and on! But best of all, we will be with Jesus! JESUS!!! The One who took our sins upon Himself so that we can be in a right relationship with Him....to finally get to see the love in His eyes and those nail prints in His beautiful hands and feet. I think I'll cry, but tears of joy! And I get to thank Him in person for what He's done for me! I'll get to see Him in person! And if I get any crowns, I get to cast them at His feet, too! And He will rule in His Kingdom, and will be getting all the respect, praise and worship that is due to Him!

Sorry for all the exclamation points, but I am truly excited about Jesus coming back, and am occupying until He returns. It keeps me more mindful that we still need to reach the lost before it's too late, because He will be back sooner than we think.

I hope this post will be a blessing for those of you who are looking to meet Him in the air (1 Thess. 4:16-17). If you don't believe in the rapture, I hope you will still be blessed by this thread!

Getting to meet all the Disciples
Hearing God say, "Well Done!"
The glorious singing, shouting and dancing
Beholding God's treasures reserved just for me!
Seeing departed family again
Jesus hugging, squeezing, loving and kissing me FOREVER!

OMG. I just read the latest book in the Left Behind series called "the Rapture" It was WONDERFUL! I think the things that got me thinking the most were
No perception of time
You could think something and it would be answered
No hunger or thirst
The sheer beauty of heaven and the joy expressed by the believers who were there!

You made a great point! No matter how bad life gets for us here, when we finally meet Jesus, it will be so worth going through the things we have to go through, because He has a plan and purpose for our suffering, and that truly comforts me, because when I do through rough times, all I have to do is remind myself that He is in control and in charge of everything and will see me through it.

Other things I look forward to when Jesus comes back:

- No more racism (including hatred for Israel and the Jews)
- No more persecution of Christians and hatred for God's people
- No more Christian bashing
- No more babies being born in single parent households
- No more starving children with diseases, because there will be no empty bellies in God's Kingdom!
- No more people hating God's Word
- We'll have our nifty glorified bodies like Jesus
- We'll get to meet the faithful saints of both the Old and New Testaments
- The wedding feast where Christ will officially "marry" His Church, the Bride of Christ (I hope this wedding feast will have sushi and chocolate, lol!)

And again, ALL will have to bow down to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords! :notworthy

While I hate seeing people reject God, curse His people (the Church), blaspheme His name, and make this world even more of a toilet bowl, I do want to see our Lord receive the honor and praise that is due to Him. I feel very sorry for these people, because the sad reality is that one day they will realize that they blew it for their opportunity of salvation.

I shudder when I think about how I used to be one of those people and praise God that He reached out to me, and softened my hardened heart, because now I will be at the Bema Seat and not the Great White Throne.
