I am a 3a/3b shoulder length with highlights. Overall, My hair is pretty healthy and growing well thansk to the information I have gathered from lurking on LHCF. My problem is my temple area (primarily the right side). I mostly wear mt hair up following conditioner washes. I really don't WANT to use gel, but I am forced to do so beacuse if I don't I have a zillion little curls all across my hairline :ohwell: So how can I thinken them and smooth them in the meantime with a safe product?

i don't know if you relax or how much but stretching my relaxers has really brought in my edges.

Organic Root Stimulator Temple Balm grew my edges. Mango butter would be a safe product to smooth them. I have 4a/b hair so I'm sure it would work for you.

My daughter had thin edges, my mother has them also.

I started massaging my daughter scalp at the hairline with different oils and it has filled in more than it was, it's still not as full as the rest of her hair but it not noticable to anyone but me. (and my mom).

i'm a 4a-b and i'm having the same issue. i use ORS temple balm as well as my MTG & WGO. i just started a couple days a go, so i'm not sure how it will work out.

Hi,

I use to have thin edges until I started using WGO(will add MTG in the mix as well) my edges are filling in rarely nicely.

i have the exact same problem...i used glovers and sulfur and they filled in VERY well...i was practically bald on both sides....My grandmother and I both have thin edges but mine was particularly bad because i abused it. Anyways people noticed immediately and commented on how FAST it grew back...i was never comfortable wearing my hair up or back but recently i have been....i also use 100% aloe vera to smoothe it down and it works like gel but does not harden my hair and cause breakage.
