Ladies,

I BC'd in May- really low, like little boy haircut low. I have a TWA thick, dense, and compact (think Florida Evans)1 inch looking. I am getting sooo tired of wearing little plait/twist outs. I'm thinking of going to a salon and getting a texturizer, buying a straightening comb to use in addtion to my Solia flatiron to straighten my hair. I attempted to straighten with just the flat iron, but I could not get those ends smooth. Any encouragement or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Ladies

Have you looked at the natural inspiration threads. I promise you this does get better this is part of the journey. You have the high and the low the goal is to keep going through it because there will be change I promise.

You set out on this journey for a reason, rediscover what those reasons are. Do you have a journal, start writing in it about the highs and lows of being natural and on the journey.

Another thing that I do is start helping someone else who is new to the journey and mentoring them along the way. You can also just hide your hair for a while. Try some different wraps, caps, etc. Even a break for a week or two makes a difference.
