They Support My Transition=)

I'm transitioning and I have my fam's full support! I got to see my mom and gramma (my best friend) last week in San Antonio. My grandma has always been natural, but my mom did the BC last year. Let me tell ya, they have gorgeous texture:lick:. I told them about my natural haircare journey and they were very excited and interested. My mom even took notes so she could seek out some ayurveda; vatika, shikikai, brahmi, etc. I told them that I was returning to my natural hair and they are cheering me on 1000%.

My husband goes out of his way to make sure he tells me how beautiful my curls are. Yesterday I did my first henna treatment and kept telling me "be careful, hon--you don't want to loose all your progress". After I rinsed it out he came up to me and said "whew, I'm glad your hair's okay":lachen:. He's so cute! I wish everyone had the support of their family the way I do. Even if I didn't, though, I still find all the support here at LHCF to be extremely encouraging and motivating. I'm so thankful for everyone here at LHCF:drunk:

That's such a blessing! My sister is transitioning now too and my man loves my natural hair. It's so easy to take for granted, then you see women who say people around them don't support their desire to be whatever they want. ENJOY IT GIRL!

thats great...my boyfriend isnt a fan...but he doesnt complain...my mom and sister are so supportive....they refuse to let me relax my hair...and Im so happy cause I would hate to loose all this sexy natural texture I have found

aw, congratulations! you're so lucky to have so much support. i've tried to go natural once when i was, like, 13, and my mother was quick to shoot down everything i had to say. :lachen:

Thank you soooo much ladies! Now that's what I'm talking 'bout. Not a single drop of hateration on this board, nothing but love and solidarity. I don't remember how I found out about this board, but I sure am glad I did:trampolin

My favorite thing lately is to fluff up my ng when I get out of the shower to see how big my "fro" is getting:grin::afropick:. I plan to BC in Jan. 09 :pepper:.

P.S. I know this post needs pics...I forgot to take my mom's pic (I know I need a butt whooping) and my grandma can move fast when she wants to; usually when a camera comes out:lachen:. I will post pics of my results with henna, though, hopefully this weekend. HHG:rosebud:
