They STILL think it\'s real!

My friends here have seen me with my hair unbraided (little below shoulder length) and still believe that these braids, down my back are real. /images/graemlins/smile.gif Now, I'm in that spot. You know, the one where you don't want to take out your braids...ever, cuz you don't want to disappoint anyone! *laughing* They think it's real...and they're jealous....now, how in the world can I forego that?? /images/graemlins/smirk.gif How come they never know? Even when they SEE your hair right before you put them in??

Re: They STILL think it\'s real!

Funny isn't it? I have been wearing my ponytails so long that when I showed up at work without them, everyone was like, "Why did you cut your hair?!?" I just laughed and told them that those were ponytail extensions. Now my employee badge (taken 2 months ago) has me with short hair, so I don't even know how they thought I sprouted a big ol' ponytail overnight. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Have you ever taken out your braids and felt shocked because you look like a totally different person without all that hair? I know that when I had my micros and I took them out I was staring at myself in the mirror like who is this??? And then I wondered, "was my head always this big?" /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I know the feeling Leshia,
When I had cornrows down my back and was ready to take them out, I "transitioned" to a ponytail extension as not to shock everyone. Then I wore my hair shorter again.

Re: They STILL think it\'s real!

It's so funny you mention this subject. My sister wears a fake bun that matches her real hair color to the "T." It's so believable that everyone just thinks she has her hair in a bun. When we go out, people think her hair is real and my hair is fake....Go figure...... /images/graemlins/laugh.gif /images/graemlins/laugh.gif /images/graemlins/laugh.gif
