The SWEETEST Thing...

What's the Best/Sweetest thing that your present/EX SO/Hubby has done for you?

Now this is going to sound disgusting (so please go no further if you have a weak stomach), but last year, I had to have emergency surgery, and for a while, I had a catheter (I was initially on a fluid diet), but they took it out and I had to use the bathroom...so my ex helped me (and my IV's) into the bathroom and got me situated, but when I was done, I realized that I couldn't wipe :nono:

I was torn between pulling the cord (for help), calling my girls (who were in the room) or my SO...I called him, and he came and wiped my behind for me and then helped me get back in bed!!

Call me strange but, No one beats him...Even the candle lit dinners, suprise trips, gifts...nothing compares!!

I don't have a present SO, so I have nothing to add to this thread.
however, I did want to respond......

That's love girl!!!!

The love of my life brought me a dozen roses every weekend the whole four years we were together. He lived an hour a half away so I only saw him on the weekends.

The sweetest thing my so has ever done to me,I was pregnant and I delivered very early (6mo).I was on complete bedrest in an upside down position for two and a half weeks. He was there for everything. He brought me dinner every night,(I couldn't eat the hospital food)and stayed with me for hrs.I was indigested the whole entire time because I had to do everything laying upside down(foot of bed up,head of bed down). He had to hold down all the bills and he was still going to school. It was hard but he was right by my side through everything even though when I had to have an emergency c-section,we couldn't find him at first because he was in the bathroom going through it!He is a great dad.
Then that next year,he suprised me for mothers day and flew me out to Florida and we went to Universal Studios and many other things and had a great time. That counted for a very sweet thing because he is terrified of planes. He told me we were going on a day trip and when we got off the airport stop on the expressway,I thought we were lost.He had my bags packed and everything!

The sweetest thing SO did for me was take care of me after I had gallbladder surgery a year ago. He babied me like nothing I had seen before. After my surgery he drove me home and made sure not to hit the bumps in the road. I remember it was icy that day (it was mid-March, but decided to snow and sleet the day of my surgery), so he was extra careful. I was still out of it and barely remember coming out of the surgery center. That night, I had to pee every hour it seemed (I guess from all of the liquid from my IV) and each time he would carefully help me out of bed and walk me to the bathroom. When I had finished, he walked me back to bed and covered me up. He waited on me hand and foot those 3 or 4 days I recovered.

I told my Ex that I wasnt the greatest cook. And everytime he visited, he brought groceries and taught me a new recipe. :look:

By the end of our first year, I loved cooking and still do. I meant I threw it down y'all :lachen:

ahhh i miss him

Well there's a few things dh did for me, but the one that came to mind first is last year for Valentine's Day, I thought he wasn't going to get me anything, so I was really upset with him. I had been complaining that he didn't get me flowers...blah blah blah. I yelled at him and when he came home, he pulled out a Zales box with a diamond necklace on it. I was soo happy and I was cheezing. I apologized for my attitude...thanked, kissed and hugged him; then I told him that my diamond collection is almost complete...now I need the earrings to go with my diamond rings. :lachen::lachen:

Ladies, I know our men aren't so bad...chime in, share your stories, even if it was with an ex that you no longer speak to!

The other night, I was thinking about my SO and his sweet deeds, and so I went over and gave him a hug and he said "What was that for:ohwell:" and I said "coz I like you!" and he said "REALLY? You don't act like it!" and I felt kinda bad.
Next morning, I went to take a shower to get ready for work, and when I got out of the shower, the bed was made (I don't EVER make it, he just waits till I get up and has never complained!) and my clothes were ironed and lying on the bed (undies and all!) I sought him out to give him a kiss, and I have decided to be much nicer to him.

Aww man! Where to start. Okay Ima list 1 old thing and 1 new thing.

The first thing happened a few years ago. We got into a big argument. I was wrong but Im stubborn and blamed him anyways. It was the dead of winter cold snowy icy. I woke up the next morning late rushing to go to class and I looked outside thru the bathroom window and it had snowed even more over night.
Im still furious from the night before but he's gone and I had no one to yell at. I went tot eh kitchen to get my books and there is a breakfast sandwich for me with a note "I knew you were gonna be running late so I made this for you." I sucked my teeth and headed outside. My car was sitting there running, heated up, de-iced, windows clean. I was like :look: I get in the car and there are some daisies in the front seat with a note.

"I know youre stubborn but I love that you always stand your ground, now smile and have a nice day." I wanted to cuss him out for having my gas running but he had left me $5 for gas (yea this as a while ago, gas was still under $1.50) all I could do was smile. I went to class smiling so hard.

Second event. I was having a HORRIBLE day at work. I called him almost in tears. I know I stayed on the phone with him for a while and then he said he had to go. I felt better but I still wanted to talk to him. So maybe 15 minutes later. I get a call to the front desk. I though it was gonna be more drama but I had flowers and a bear and balloons! I was beaming from ear to ear.

I was gonna take the stuff to my desk. Then the receptionist told me to wait because the delivery guy said he had something else for me. Maybe 1 minute later here he come, MY BOYFRIEND. He had taken off work, bought me flowers and set me up a picnic on the lawn on the side of our building. Everyone came outside and were looking at us, waving at me from the building. I felt like a million bucks.

He does things like that in addition to taking care of me when Im sick, buying me little trinkets, and little surprises. Like a month ago he was out of town with his sisters at a funeral and he drove back right then and there because I had an allergic reaction. He just treats me like gold and I love him.:yep: I mean we have our bad days but they are few and far between.
