Last night ladies,I gave into the desire to cut off my permed ends. I just got in the mirror and started snipping away. I was supposed to get cornrows tomorrow,but I will go to my beautician for a trim. I did a fine job,if I must say so myself,though. I will be posting pictures this week.

Woww Bobbie Bobbie...it feels great! This is a total new look for me because I have always had long hair. I never cut it because I was so used to having long hair,not to mention people and their opinions,but since I had been transitioning for 1 year and 4 months, this gave me a edge to cut it off and not care about what people say. I just measured my hair

I have 9-11 inches. That can't be right-hold on let me remeasure.... Oh my I was right the first time. I am so happy!

Great BBS!!!! I know how you feel about not having long hair anymore. My hair has always been shoulder/brastrap all my life. And then going from that to 3 inches of hair is sorta dramatic (well for me anyway

Thank you ladies for your kind words of congrats. I still have some permed ends (not much thought) because I did not cut it correctly but tomorrow after 5:00pm, they will be all gone. I must say that when I did the first section,I thought,"oh my-what have I just done." My hair swole so much after I washed and cut it. You all will see the pics soon. Even though I cut my hair,I can still place it in a low ponytail,even with the ends tucked under.

Now I have new hair goals-current length (neck), goal (shoulder blades). I think that if I keep up my new hair regimen, I can achieve this goal by October,shrinkage and all.

Yes Serena-very excited. I must admit that although this is my second day of natural hair,I had been a little discouraged. My hair does not hold one lick of water and styling can be difficult,since my hair flops all over the place,but I know it will get better. Just gotta find products,some brastrap holders, and some more styles that will compliment my face.

I must admit, the first few months were horrible for me. I did not know much about moisturizing the new growth and to NOT COMB WHEN IT WAS DRY!!

It wasn't until last August that I started to pay more attention to the two textures. I have to say that I owe a great deal of appreciation and thanks to micarae,carefree,yante coi, hairlove, aldrea,and mecca (all from fotki.com) and their albums for encouragement and ideas. I also have to thank nappturality.com and ofcourse,last but not least, you beautiful ladies here. And oh,thank God for Carol's Daughter's Products.

I saw Bubbln's new look beifly today. IT IS SO THICK AND PRETTY!! It frames her little face and it is just gorgeous. It looked like Joan's hair form girlfriends. You are looking good lady!
