The Oils you own and how you use it!

I use :

To seal my ends and oil my scalp: Olive + sunflowers + coconut + Castor + any other oil in my kitchen

To coat my nails and cuticule: olive oil

I use 5 or 6 drops of rose hip seed oil to saturate dry, straight hair before detangling. It instantly makes my hair supple and the comb slips right through.

Thanks Eisani, what kind of base oil do you use?
For my infusions, usually coconut, jojoba, coco/jojoba mixed, or olive and grapeseed. Sometimes sesame. I prefer coconut and jojoba because of their rate of absorption.

I only have coconut oil. I use it for prepoos, oil rinses and DC. I used to have essencial oils but I ran out of it (I used it for prepoo as well), I use serums to seal....:)

I have:

-refined coconut oil and virgin coconut oil – I like using these in lieu of moisturizer. When I don’t really need to moisturize, but want something on my hair, I will use one of these. Not into the coconut smell of the virgin one, but like it in the summer time.

-almond oil – I use this in my Henna mixes. I put 2 -3 tablespoons in my paste.

-sunflower oil - when I run out of almond oil I will use this one in my henna mixes because I got a big HUGE jug (32 oz!) of this from Freecycle. :)

-Global Beauty Coconut Amla oil – I have been using a few drop of this after moisturizing and before tying my hair down at night.

-Nasabbs Kelechi oil – this is what I was using before I got the global goddess. Now I just alternate them for light sealing. This is a great oil, though. But I gotta use up all that global goddess.

-Qhemet Indian Macassar Conditioning Oil – This is nice, but expensive. I like using this one for styling. Something about it is very very nice. A few drops on my styled hair is great. It is different than other oils. Thicker or something. More like a serum.

-Qhemet Castor & Moringa Softening Serum – I have not used this yet. It is labeled as a treatment/hot oil. Maybe I will use it this weekend.

I have some Coconut oil Not sure how people use it other than mixing.

I have Amla oil, I use it before I shampoo my son or my hair

I have Jojoba Oil and Emu Oil which I use to seal my moisture

I have Hot 6 oil which I use in my mixes and to lotion my sons hands

Castor oil, Sweet almond oil, Seasame oil, I use it in my mixes only

That'd be all I could think of

Yeah, My brain is working a little better: I have the following EO's: Rosemary, Peppermint and Lavender and I use these in my conditioners and mix with my oil blends. :D

I am not known for my memory!

Coconut oil--my boo!

I just bought castor oil and I'm really happy with the results. I think it's a keeper in my reggie as well.

I use this as a daily sealer. It gives great shine to the hair w/o weighing it down.

I'm curious, does anyone use it on thier skin?

My husband & I use it to moisturize our skin. I buy the Nature's Way Extra Virgin Coconut Oil from Whole Foods.
