The Miseducation of the World & Micah:8

I love this. We are seriously on the same page but I was not studying Micah. I was studying Colossians 1:9-11 and coming up with many of the same conclusions. If you don't mind I will post it here because it really ties into what you are saying.

I love this and appreciate you taking time to type this out. I have been so dedicated lately to walking worthy of God and now that I am really taking this serious God is showing me so much.

MrsHaseeb, that's wonderful, I look forward to the revelation you received. Yes, please posts your thoughts. I am glad God is giving you revelation. I love the scripture from Colossians, I will continue to meditate on it. God bless!

I was never intending to post this. These were my personal notes for myself that I took but when I read this it mirrored what I was getting so I figured it wouldn't hurt to share. I don't usually do this, I normally read in the background and rarely respond to posts but here goes:

Colossians 1:9-10 NIV

9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,

First we must be "filled" with the knowledge of God's will. This will prevent other things from being able to come in and choke or stifle the Word and keep it from being fruitful in our lives. In order for us to be filled with knowledge of God's will, we must empty ourselves of worldly knowledge and ideas and let go of all things that are contrary to God's Word, or we will be prevented from growing the way God intends for us to. It requires knowledge of his will and spiritual wisdom and understanding in order to walk worthy of the Lord. If we don't know His will we will be lost when it comes to being aware and living our life the way He expects us to. We will never be able to walk worthy as long as we are walking in duality trying to serve God and our own selfish desires.

We cannot be fruitful in God if we are living outside of His Will. There is no way to bear fruit unless we do so in Him with knowledge of what He wants in our lives. We may be fruitful outside the Will of God but it will certainly not be in every good work because being outside the Will of God means we are not "filled" with the things of God and something else has been allowed to come in and grow.

Increasing in the knowledge of God means we are ever remaining "filled" with the things of God so that we may continue to "walk" worthy of the Lord. Walking is proactive... It's a continuous thing and without being full of the things of God, we will eventually come to a stand still because we can not continue our walk in Christ based on past knowledge. We must be ever increasing in knowledge and growing in grace.

The notes were actually taken from my studying of the KJV but I posted the NIV because everyone doesn't like the wording of the KJV. Those are my 2 cents.

Psalm 51:10 AMP

Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right, persevering, and steadfast spirit within me.

James 4:8 NCV

8 Come near to God, and God will come near to you. You sinners, clean sin out of your lives. You who are trying to follow God and the world at the same time, make your thinking pure.

Amen, clean hearts Lord...this was David's prayer...that's why he stayed after God's own heart.

This is fantastic! I agree with you, we both share the same revelation. Feel free to share more, you may post the very thing someone needs to here. I appreciate this post! I like the point that we can be fruitful outside of God's will...wordly wisdom does produce results but only that which God sustains will last. Plus he takes care of his will which means I don't have to work hard trying to force things. I heard someone put it this way...Gods will...Gods bill...Your Will...Your bill! Lol, thank you! Great revelation!

Thank you. I will gladly post my contributions. God has been dealing with me in these areas because as I studied the Word I began to wonder why most "Christians" aren't walking in the power that we should. And as God began to deal with me I realized it is because the cares of the world are choking the Word. God would have to deny His Holiness to bless (us the way He can) in our present condition. We are supposed to disciple the nations so they can follow Christ but something has changed and most "Christians" are now following the world. It makes me sad. My prayer is that we all turn back to God and walk worthy of Him so that the world will have a true representation of Christ.
