:goodpost: I agree. There have been many ladies on here who have thought that they were a 4a or even 4b and ended up 3c after the B/C. You can never be too sure, even when transitioning. That said, right now it looks like you are mostly 4a, with some 3c possibly mixed in.

that was a really good post..thanks for your input!!:grin::grin:

You're not the only one..someone else told me 2C. Which is funny..because I've never seen anyone with 2C hair...and the pics..that they give for example...never have any Black people...

Oh yeah..my hair is not combed out..it's airdried!!

If anyone out there is a 2c..

PLEASE POST YOUR PIC...FOR REFERENCE:grin::grin::grin:

Here's some links for general reference. Check out the last link to see Ananda Lewis' hair. She is who came to my mind for a type 2.

I think I'm more confused now..they all sound so similar..I know I have a definite S- shape...it's fine...and dense..but after reading..I think I'm a 2 , 3, and a 4!!!:lachen::lachen::lachen:

Okay..question?

Does this help identify my texture..even though I'm relaxed..I let my relaxer sit for 25 minutes..so I'm not texlaxed...but my ends still are curly when wet. Is it possible to relax..but still have a curl pattern..and not be texlaxed??

Does that make sense???:sad:

Yes I have a relative with hair that does that. Relaxers never really took to her hair, it was always a little curly when wet and the first one she got didn't look like it did anything at all. Her natural hair now is in the 3's she has big curls and some waves that don't really frizz to much.

eta: When it was relaxed her new growth looked wavy.

Sounds like me!!

It's weird-my hair that is...maybe one day i'll get up enough nerve to bc (ONE 2ND THOUGHT..I'M A CHICKEN!!) I think natural hair is so pretty...though!!
