Looks like 3c or 4a, maybe both. It's hard to tell until the relaxed ends are cut. I thought I was 4b before my BC, and I ended up 3c/4a.
It's a pretty texture. Are you transitioning?
anybody else? come on....

Hair can be decieving when part of the legnth is relaxed because it tends to stretch the natural curl pattern, i beleive your hair is 4a/b definately.
I say 4a/3c....but if THAT newgrowth is 7 weeks then you are a hair growing machine! I myself grow about an inch a month (a little more the last month since I have used MegaTek), but my new growth never spurts like that! You should have long hair in no time if that is your goal!
I agree 3c/4a.
Your hair grows really fast!

I agree that it can be difficult, if not impossible to really "know" or be certain if you are not fully natural. The relaxed hair ccages the true nature of the natural hair, in a way.
I don't believe that it can be explained by simply saying that the relaxed hair stretched the curl pattern, and that therefore your projected texture should be estimated to me tighter.
IMO, from the transitions and BCs I've seen, relaxed hair can also compress and pack natural hair together horizontally (if it is easier to think of it that way), so that th curls are sometimes not as wide or flyy.
In other words, I believe that half-and-half hair can be deceiving, and the results of getting rid of relaxed ends are different for everyone in terms of how their new growth translates into the appearance of their fully natural head of hair. There are a number of possibilities, and it can be different for everyone.
4a-3c is my guess too. That's a lot of very pretty new growth.
Love the LHCF on the compscreen in the background!!!
Yep, that how my texture looks and i'm 4a.Looks like 4A to me!
Wow your hair grows fast. You look like you have more newgrowth than me and I'm about 8months post! But your hair is a lot looser.
I say 3c/4a but bump this up when you're 12weeks post...
I would say 4a. I'm 4a, and your hair looks just like my transitioning hair.
I don't know exactly maybe 3c/4a but dang that is a lot of growth for 7 weeks! And your little helper did a good job taking the pics.
Well, I guess I will be the lone ranger and say you look 2C to me. If that is your new growth combed out, then I can see the 3C/4A reference but if that is your new growth as it grows, I'd have to say 2C.
I think there are pictures somewhere on this site from Andre's book. If not on here, it is definitely on- line somewhere.
You're not the only one..someone else told me 2C. Which is funny..because I never seen anyone with 2C hair...and the pics..that they give for example...never have any Black people...
If anyone ut there is a 2c..
PLEASE POST YOUR PIC...FOR REFERENCE
Somewhere in the 3's based on how your relaxed ends look. Maybe 3B?
ETA:
Okay I went and had a second look....I would say 3A or B.
I think you're my hair twin. My new growth looks just like that when it dries. But I can't help you...lol. I have no idea what hair type it is.
