The Lord shall fulfill his purpose for you!

Hey Ladies,

This morning when I woke up, immediately this scripture came to mind:

"The Lord will fulfull his purpose for me." Psalm 138:8.

I recognized this as a scripture I used to have printed on a bible I had many years ago. Yet it wasn't until this morning that I really undertood this scripture. Before, I always focused on the latter part of this scripture, about what God would do "FOR ME." Today, I recognized that he will fulfill "HIS PURPOSE."

God has a plan and purpose for your life and you can be confident that he will fulfill it. I remember Shimmie posted this scripture once before, and I loved it. It says, "God watches over his word to perform it" Jeremiah 1:12. See God told Jeremiah in that first chapter that he had predestined him and appointed him. The words that he put in Jeremiah's mouth, he would watch over these words to fulfill them.

You have have been called to accomplish the will of God. He will watch over the words and plans he has predestined for your life. So what must you do? Commit your life and works unto him. The bible says, "Commit your works unto him, and your thoughts(plans) shall be estabilished." Proverbs 16:3. "Commit thy way unto him, trust in him, and he shall bring it to pass." Psalm 37:5.

 Sweet Sidney, thank you so much, for sharing this post which is a trememdous blessing. You've shared such a good word.

I can remember when my son was 'out there' with the wrong crowd, doing the wrong things and I KNEW what God has promised me about my baby; and over and over God promised me that He was watching over His Word to perform it, that His word would not return unto Him void, and that it would prosper in the thing whereto He sent it.

The Word of God was hovering over my son, moment by moment, day by day, and God did indeed bring His Word to pass in my son's life, who now lives for God with all of his heart.

God indeed watches over His Word to perform it and He indeed fulfills His purpose for each of us.

God bless you Precious Sidney... :love2: God's Word is being fulfilled in your life...most definitely. He brought you here fulfill His promise for each of us. :thankyou:

That's a Word right there...

I believe struggle against His Purpose has a lot to do with frustration --- when the will to complain is stronger than the will to do; I've realized the very thing thing/issue I most have a problem with is what I tend to have the answers to or ability to resolve. I'm just fighting not being the one to do it.
So it's a struggle (fight) ... until I submit to God. You know, the "why me, Lord?" question.. :yep:

Inventors tend to solve problems that bother them most... many witty inventions would've never benefit mankind had they just talked about their ideas and do nothing. George Washington Carver was greatly used by God to invent scientific wonders that benefit so many of us today. All because he submitted to God and had declared: "Without my Savior I am nothing"

So thanks to Carver's obedience to God, I'm enjoying sweet potatoes, salad oil, peanut butter, to name a few...

There's no way around this Sidney. Thank you for sharing that Word.
