I have broken at least 9 stands of hair today. I have bra-stap length and it is forevr getting snag on my chain. I broke a peice trying to eat a darn doughnut, my sweater I have own snabbed hold on some strands and they broke.

I'm thinking of going this weekend and getting it cut even with my sholder blade. It can be such a pain at times. It get in my mouth and on my lipgloss. It's so annoying!

To whom much is given, much is required. No one ever said that having long hair was going to be easy. It does all of the things you mentioned above as well as getting stuck under purse straps and taking longer to do on shampoo/condition days. You also have to spend more $$$ on your products, because you use them up faster because you have more hair.

Only you can decide how much effort you are willing to put in. If you would be happy back and shoulder length then go for it. But if you are willing to make the sacrifices and put in the extra effort to have super-lengthy tresses then your healthy, beautiful, loooonnnngggg hair can be your reward.

Good luck. :)

Why don't you just wear it pinned up? I like to wear my in a french-twist or a curly roller wrap (also pinned up).

I mean this in the nicest possible way.
U WANNA CUM UP HERE AND MOAN ABOUT BEING BRASTRAP LENTGH,OMG.

Most of the ladies up here would kill for that length, some of us only want shoulder length. If it was in bad condition or something but damn

:nono: :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono: :nono:

Sorry I just cant relate

You know what I realized (and this took me a LOOOOONG time)... Everybody doesn't WANT long hair. I know it sounds simple. But I tell some of my close friends what they should be doing to grow their hair and they'd rather have shoulder length hair. If that's what your goal is, then that's what it is. As long as you have a healthy head of hair, length is secondary.

There's nothing wrong with cutting your hair if you want to, of course. But if you want to keep it long, all you have to do is keep it behind your back or over one shoulder while you eat, put on your seat belt in the car, put your purse strap over your shoulder, etc. It should just be a natural thing to do that you don't even notice, not an annoyance. Sure, once in a while I will forget to do that, and will look down while eating and see my hair has crumbs in it, but I just brush them out with my hand.

A far as lip gloss goes, you could try a less sticky formula. I use MAC lipglass which is very sticky, so I do know what you mean. And, it sounds like your necklace has a lot of texture to it if your hair is getting caught on it. You could save that necklace for days when you wear your hair up, and wear smoother jewelry when it's down.

Good luck with whatever you decide. :)

Dont cut it!
Pin it up so it wont get in your mouth, food or snag your clothes!
Problem solved. :look:

Have you tried protective styling??? You could wear your hair pinned up or in a butterfly clip.

Poor thing.....I don't think you should cut it though. Just pin it up like they already suggested and when you wear it down, wear it off your face so you don't eat it (easier said than done)

Beside, on your shoulder blade your hair will still get in your mouth.

There are some annoying aspects to having longer hair and only you can decide whether you want long hair enough to deal with them. It's all about choice! I wear my hair in protective styles during the week. It's professional looking, it keeps me from playing with it, keeps it out of my lipgloss etc. But on the weekends I wear it down and I enjoy it! It doesn't have to be an either/or.

Before you go and cut your hair buy a wig or get a weave that is the length you want to cut your hair to. If you like it at that length then by all means cut it to that length. If you don't like the shorter hair cut it.

I have shoulder length hair and all those problems you are having now I have and I am no where near brastrap!

Good Luck and of course we support you in whatever decision you make!

Girl your problems are not that serious. But maybe you are just tired of long hair period so everything and anything is just getting to you now.

But to tell you the truth, I WISH I HAD YOUR PROBLEM right about now, Im trying to grow my hair out and Im forever getting bored with it and watching it to see if it has grown any longer everyday cause Im so bored w/ mine.

And yeah, do whatever makes you feel happy.

Good luck!!!!!

My suggestion is to wear a ponytail or wear it up more often. My hair isn't as long as yours and it sticks to my lip gloss and gets caught under my purse strap.

DSD,

You have suggested a great idea.

I wouldn't cut it...you may regret it soon after and want your length back. I have the tendency to always run my fingers thru my hair when its down, and I want to comb it and brush it when its loose. I have a wool peacoat that I wear in the evenings if its cool/cold and you can talk about breakage if I wear my hair down with that on. Try wearing your hair up...don't cut it! I wear my hair down during the day long enough to let it completely air-dry (it will never dry if I put it in a bun/braid while wet) then up it goes. It stays up all day and until the next morning's wash.
