Netta- I bought the crown and glory tape from www.growafrohairlong.com. Since I'm off of wearking extensions, I can sell it to you if you'd like. Braiding is really easy but I think the slipping is why self done braids don't last very long- I think it takes practice.
BTW- I love your bun! how in the world are you getting your hair to lay so flat and smooth????

Oh I would LOVE to take that crown and glory tape off your hands, just tell me where to send my check!!!!!

BTW: the bun was done by brushing out my hair while it was kinda dry and streched from the two french braids I wore in my hair prior to. This brushing allowed my hair to be big and fluffy. Then I simply brushed my hair back with and oil and a gel and placed it in a nice smooth ponytail first, then I took a rolled up white sock (covered by a black sock) and placed it over my ponytail and went from there to create the bun. Again the key is to get a really good brush out I used a Denmen and some oil, and it works best if your hair is silghtly enlongated before you start.

I just finished up some braids this weekend. They are the diameter of a pencil and are "down to there" braids. They rest right on the "cupboard of my back". I call it the cupboard cause my mama says that I can sit a cup on the top of my behind (Think a little longer than Janet in Poetic Justice but smaller). Usually I finish in 10 hours but I spread it out this time over two-three days. I get alot of admirers and compliments but it is alot of work! But the hair growth results are marvelous with the Crown and Glory method. I use Infusium 23 leave in and African Pride Braid Sheen Spray with Tea tree & Peppermint Oil (Feels good!) I sometimes wish I could find somebody to do my hair like I am always doing somebody else for little or nothing. The cost of my style would be hefty on my pockets so I self-braid.

Just to let you think on something....I know this Nigerian lady. She went over to get her hair done at her home in Nigeria. Get this they only charged her $10.00. They were beautiful.. But the dollar goes further over there.

The time putting them in and taking them out that is the first down fall, the second is when people ask who did you hair and you say I did they give you that yeah right look. The I just pull out the photos and show them the I give them a little lesson thank to Braids by Breslin.

How could I forget? Instead of the look, people actually say "yeah right" or any number of things that are similar.
