I'd been looking and looking for a Denman but could never locate it at Sally (and Lord knows I'm in there 2-3 times a week! BAD PJ!!! ) Anywho, I finally asked the store lady and she promptly escorted me to the very bottom shelf way toward the back of the shelf in the brush section and there she was! It was like Manna from heaven!
This morning, I poo'd w/ Motions Moisturizing (a staple of mine! My hair loves Motions) & Garnier Length & Strength. Then I did a mini-steam con w/ Motions Con & GF Length & Strength Con in the shower. I rinsed and wrapped my hair in a towel. When I took my hair down to put leave-in cons in it and bun it, I first detangled in sections with a wide tooth comb & made sure the leave-in was getting on the shaft root to end (again, thanks LHCF) with Motions leave-in and Hawaiian Silky sprayed on each section root to end (sounds like a lot of prod but I have VERY dense, thick hair and it eats prod alive!). Then I used the denman brush to detangle and my hair was soooooooooo smooth and tame! Way tamer than it would've been with my wide tooth comb and con alone.
After detangling all sections, I put a little GF brilliante shine wax on my edges and used the Denman to gather my hair into the ouchless ponytail holder to prepare for the bun. It was SOOOOOOOOOO easy with the Denman...no struggling at all! MY NEW GROWTH ACCEPTED DEFEAT AND LAID RIGHT DOWN WITHOUT TANGLING!!!!! It also helped to distribute the leave-ins and full strength con I had in it. I used a soft boar bristled brush to lay my edges down with the help of the wax and I bunned it easily!
THANKS SO MUCH!
