THE BIG CHOP !!

Well ya'll, I had to do it. Yep talking bout the BIG CHOP.

My stylist said I couldn't do nothing to save the damaged hair I had so it's gone.

Now I am starting over for the first time.

Any suggestions on a hair care routine to maintain and grow it out would be appreciated.

This is a whole new world for me. erplexed

WELL, is shaved off in the back and on the sides.
She left a little bit at the top.
I also got a touch up so it's relaxed 4b-to-b texture .. hehe

I JUST WENT THROUGH THE SAME THING, EXCEPT I CUT MY OWN HAIR. IT'S ALMOST 1/2" ALL AROUND. SO I GUESS YOU CAN SAY WE'RE IN THE SAME BOAT.

I have learned alot on this forum ... maybe too much cuz i don't know where to start or end sometimes.

I have incoporated stretching in my routine but now that I have short hair, really really short hair, I wonder do I still stretch like I did before. I stretched for 8 weeks at the most so far since stretching was new for me.

I also deep condition at least once a week and clarify when needed.

I mosturize and seal, although I have to do this several times a day cuz my hair is porous and my texture is really coarse and gets dry at the drop of a hat.
Like right now my hair feels dry even though i just moiturized it about 20 min ago???

That is a good question ....

Before I got my hair cut I got a relaxer soooo....... I guess I am going with that for now.

This big chop this is something else. " I " feel so bald-headed.

But ... i guess it had to be done.

I plan to go natural, I have a relaxer currently, I plan to get my hair texurized once I get it to the length that i want. I want it like strawberry-jelly (model chick) I love her hair... Ohh im going to have a thread just for her to come and tell it all
