That mess reverted!

Well ladies I got my touch up relaxer on the 21st of August and notice the middle of my hair was a little thicker than usaul about 2 weeks ago while combing it. (It didnt look like the rest of my fine hair.) about a week ago I was on campus and got rained on goin to my car. I mean it was pouring down and all i was thinking is MY HAIR ! So I did what most people would do and washed it. The next morning as I was unwrapping my hair I noticed the middle of my hair on my right side was a little thicker than usual. Then when i wrapped my hair again at night this time wrapping in an opposite direction which i never really do (please dont stone me) the middle part of my hair didnt want to go around and kept poping up from the wrap. sO I put a little coconut oil on it and brushed it down and still wouldnt go down. I asked my mom and she said "That mess reverted!" is she right? Or is that part of my hair just thick. Again I never noticed it before. Help?

Relaxed hair doesn't revert. You were probably underprocessed and will need to do a corrective relaxer.

Sounds to me like that spot was under-processed.

A corrective is basically leaving the relaxer on for a short while in order to get your hair to the desired level of straightness. In your case, it should ideally match the rest of your hair that has been relaxed properly.

Search for threads with "underprocessed" in the title for more info on this. When you enter the keyword, there's a drop-down box with the option to search through just titles.

Are you using Megatexecause that revert my hair back and like the other ladies stated underprocessed.

elucence relaxer...my stylist did it... and no i dont use megatek but i use mn. can it effect my relaxer?

I am not sure about that , when I used it once it gave me headache.

How long have you been using MN? because... umm... that might just be new growth you're dealing with. I have been using MN everyday since my last relaxer in mid-July. My edges have about 3/4 inch of new growth. But my crown area (a large part of it) is at 1 and 1/2 inches.
