...because lawd knows that had I not read that suggestion and tried to relax my hair all by myself, I'd be on here crying cuz my hair would have been a HOT MESS! LOL!:lachen:

I tried the traditional 4 section method. Man, oh man. Given the angles of my mirror, that is NOT going to work for me. AT ALL.

I think I'm going to try Arcadian's method of using clips. I have the means to see the back of my head, but having the clips there will probably make it a lot easier. Just have to figure out how to arrange them so that it's neat and not too bulky. Also, I think I'm going to try application with a toothbrush rather than a dye brush.

On the brighter side of things...applying my moisturizing conditioner to dry hair and letting it sit for 5 minutes was rather nice

I'm working on getting up the courage to do my own self-relaxer. Thanks for bringing this up, because I'm going to start practicing this week. I should be able to do it pretty well (hopefully) by the time I'm ready to relax.

i want to start praticing too. i am really scared but i am tired and frustarted with stylist who overlap like crazy!
