OK... I keep telling myself I am never going to do this again, but I am determined to master roller setting.

I have the magnetic rollers and I am trying to use macherieamour's tips (*** DOES she get it so neat?) Here are my issues.

I try to roll it tight, but when I put in the clips the hair gets lose at the base, so my texlaxed roots end up a puffy mess!

How do you put the clips in where you can't see? I have hair going every which way!

Which rollers are best? I tried the mesh ones--threw them out because I could never get the stick pin thing right (my old stylist used these all the time and my hair was always slamming!)

I tried the magnetic ones, but the dang things won't stay in my head! I can't seem to keep the hair rolled down tight and the clips slip out and the rollers fall out!

I used the little kindergarden snap on rollers, but they leave the infamous "dent" in my hair.

Is there hope for me or should I give up?:wallbash::wallbash::wallbash:

I will be late to church again thanks to my hair!!!!!:nono:

When I first started, I use magnetic rollers and secure with duckbill clips and then use a hair net to keep it all on my head until dry. I use the old school, thin flimsy nets, walmart has 3 for $1.00.

Don't give up, like most things worth mastering, it takes practice, time, determination. :yep:

What worked for me was rolling up instead of down. That allowed me to keep the tension and then using the duckbill clips I could make the rollers snug.

Missy posted a rollersetting video that shows her rolling up if you need an example.
