Texturizer

I am thinking of texturizing instead of doing a straight relaxer. Can anyone recommend a good one.

I forget the exact name but I use the Botanicals Texturizer on my sis...does the job pretty well

Use a regular relaxer for less time. Those texturizing kits don't have enough product in them for me. I have really thick hair and if I buy a kit I will run out of neutralizing shampoo or texturizer before I finish my hair. Better to get full sized bottles, IMO.

I have fine hair, so I think a kit would be fine, but I was thinking of using a kiddie texturizer that I saw in sally's. It has got to be gentle, doesn't it?

Make sure you do your reasearch. Doing a relaxer for less time would be your best bet, IMO. From what I've read and learned, Kiddie anything doesn't equal gentler, you just have to know what your doing. Try searching thr threads for a wealth of info. HTH♥♥.

Most people use a regular relaxer for a shorter amount of time. My stylist uses Affirm on his clients.

Products labeled as "Kiddie" products are just as strong and those marketed to adults. They have the same pH and in some cases it is higher. They just slap a child's picture on the box.
