Dancin' on sunshine!
What is it? Is it when you leave the relaxer on for half the required amount of time? TIA!

I started to notice that term, "texlax" in the past year or so. I relax my new growth a little less than half the recommended time (10 minutes) which results in a loosened curl rather than straight hair.

i guess i'm texlaxed then cus my hair is like straight wavy. my relaxer lady leaves the relaxer on between 10-12 mins..no wonder my airdried hair is so curly hmmmm :)

I'm texlaxed too.

I shot this pic a day after relaxing.
I LOVE your hair DSylla!! It's gorgeous!

How did you airdry your hair? Did you just leave it hanging down for this look?

I have a question. I have been getting my hair relaxed bone straight. now if I wanted to start texlaxing, will it turn out curly/wavy the first time or do i have to keep doing it overtime to achieve the look?

If you start texlaxing now, the only part of your hair that will take to the "texlax" is the new growth. Re-relaxing the already relaxed hair will make it more moisture starved and weaker than it already is, from the chemicals.

You might want to try stretching between the relaxers - and texlaxing going forward - that way a big chop won't be necessary, but you won't be "perming" you hair as much.

Just a suggestion. :)

Thanks Candy C, nubianqt86 , and Issi :)

@ nubianqt86 I use Precise mild

@ Isis - Yep, i just leave it down. No combing, but I'll wring out the excess water with my hands.

I really like the texlax look and I agree her hair is gourgeous. When I first started using Phytorelaxer my hair (all new virgin hair) it was curly and I really liked it but I see now I'm going to have start stretching my relaxers to keep this up b/c although I don't think I've been overlapping the 8 week relaxer is going down and running the curls so now I'm just left w/ not bone straight UGLY frizzy hair ;) so I've just been keeping it in a bun. You live and you learn!

texlaxed is a great look! i left my relaxer on 15 min but for whatever reason it didn't straighten. i'm lik 90% relaxed. i hope that i can wear the "airdried" look. i think it's fab :)
