Texlaxing Question

I just took a look at the texlaxed thread, and I'm really interested in possibly getting that one day. I know...I'm so indecisive.

When I relaxed in the past, as soon as relaxer was applied within 10 seconds my hair was already straight and I didn't even have to smooth it. I know some people add oil in the relaxer to slow down the process, but would it really slow it down for someone with hair that straightens really fast? I wouldnt' want to take the chance and get bone straight hair.:nono:

sounds to me like that's the way for you to go, since texlaxing would be so easy to do, and you wouldn't have to leave the relaxer on for as long as you may do now

Try a mild relaxer spiked with oil and conditioner.

I have the opposite problem... my hair doesn't relax fully for nothing lol

I have purposely texlaxed though. I find that using protein conditioners (aubrey gpb, aphogee 2 minute) give a very even consistent texture.

Oh, I've also added silk amino acids to it. :yep:

My hair is the same way.

I recently texlaxed with ORS Lye, mixed with EVOO and Aubrey O's GPB for 13 minutes. I still have a lot of texture. I'm in the process of posting pics.
