Texlaxers....anyone else experiencing tangling when wearing hair straight??

Hi Ladies,

I've been transitioning to texlax for almost 2 years now. I only have about 2-3 inches of bones straight hair left in some areas. I've noticed that when I straighten my hair (w/ the flat iron) and wear it straight a about 1 hour or so after straigtening it if I have my hair down (when I'm at home...since I'm hiding my hair) that my hair is a bit tangly towards the ends. I have to take a wide tooth comb and detangle it. Then a while later the same thing happens again.

I recently trimmed 1-2 inches off...I'm wondering if I should just chop the rest of it off. It will make me go above APL though...

I have this same problem with my ends and I do not know what to do about it, but I am not going to cut it just yet, because I don't wear my hair down that often.

I don't use heat styling, so I totally depend on my rollers to smooth my hair out. Roller setting with diluted Lottabody totally eliminates my tangled ends and lasts until I wash my hair again.:yep:

Hmmm... I haven't had this happen to me at all. It will get kinda tangly when I rollerset but if I flat iron, I have no tangles whatsoever. Do you think you need a trim?

I don't think trimming is the answer, because it happens to me as well and I have great ends (recently). The only thing that has elimated this for me is to moisturize a lot and then after flat ironing I run the blow dryer through my hair with the comb attachment on low heat. It's almost like my hair needs to be further straightened in order for it to be tangle free.

I'm texlaxed by the way. I hope this helps. Make sure and use a heat protectant. :yep:

I'm glad I'm not the only one w/ this issue.

Yeah maybe my hair needs further straightening too. Actually come to think about it. When I look closely at some of the ends in the mirror after running the flat iron through it looks like some of the ends were flat ironed in a kind of crinkled state. I'll try running the blow dryer through on low. I'll remember the heat protectant.

I know I need another trim or 2 to totally get rid of those bone straight ends.
