How does your stylist retouch your new growth?

I went to a new stylist yesterday and she actually put the relaxer on my hair from scalp to ends and gave it a quick comb through with a wide tooth comb. My previous stylist have ony put the relaxer on the new growth. At first I thought it was a great idea to relax some of my natural curl and for the most part it turned out ok, however my ends (3-4inches) are now bone straight. The two textures  won't be noticable when I flat iron my hair (not very often), but very noticable when I wear a wash and go (most of the time). I am going to give a week of two and the decide weather or not to cut the "over processed" ends off.:ohwell:

No, a stylist should not be running relaxer through previously relaxed hair.

I would probably trim the overprocessed ends away slowly...and ditch that stylist.
