Why am I 2 wks post and my roots look like I'm 8. I am so irritated. What can I do. I don't want to do a corrective.:nono:

I'm bumping this one for responses.

I'm 13 weeks post and even though its thick in there, it doesnt look like a lot of new growth.

Coconut Oil.

I use it while my hair is wet, and then tie it down. (the roots)

As far as the length, sometimes I bun it, cross wrap, braid out, twist out... but the coconut oil lays it down FLAT.

I did this last weekend and haven't washed again yet and you still can't tell I have any new growth. I let my hair air dry in a cross wrap, so it all just looks wavy/curly/whatever, like I let it air dry when I was only a few days post.

ETA: My hair looks like this, yet I am 6 weeks post, growing at a normal rate.

(I washed and conditioned with Joico Moisture Recovery. Then I followed with a coconut conditioner (rinse out, and I did rinse it out on cold), and Vatika Oil.)
