Texlaxed Ladies - Which relaxer do you use?

I am currently in search of a new relaxer.

I have been using Elucence regular and it had worked well for me.
However, it is not too inconvenient for me to purchase since you need to be licenced to purchase it.

Can you tell me which relaxer you use?
To what degree do you texlax?

TIA!

Silk Elements Regular Lye mixed with Olive Oil

I texlax about 70%

I like Silk Elements for the reason that many hate it. It reverts a bit so it keeps lots of texture in my hair.:)

Phyto Index I. I will never use another relaxer if I can help it! I'm somewhere betweeen 50-70 relaxed maybe? My hair is curly if I wash and go (except for my old bone straight ends) and smooth and straight if I rollerset.

I just relaxed today with their texturizer version. My hair perms very quickly, but I had this in longer than I had planned and other than softness, I really saw no change in texture

Phyto only comes in NO LYE only? Right?
I'm afraid on NO Lye for the possible drying effects.
I really want to try it but I don't know if I want to take the risk.....:ohwell:

Phyto is no-lye but I've never had any dryness isssues. I honestly feel that lye vs. no-lye is a matter of personal preference. Phyto has been wonderful for me and my mom and sis.:yep:

Me too... well almost. I use Phyto II and I'm about 50% relaxed. My favorite style is WnG, but rollersets look good too (when I have the patience to let them dry).

I believe Phyto has a straightening chemical which is different than traditional no-lye box relaxer kits. Lye is sodium hydroxide, so anything other than sodium hydroxide can be correctly be termed no-lye.

Yup, Phyto's inductor is guanadine carbonate not calcium hydroxide. I know some ladies complain that no-lye relaxers with calcium hydroxide have some calcium buildup/dryness, but Phyto doesn't contain this chemical.

I've heard that the Phyto is a different composition than the other no lye relaxers but so many people have complained about the dryness on this board that I am afraid to try it. I DO NOT need any more setbacks.

Plus I need to do a corrective on the first 3 inches of my hair.

Can I use Phyto as a corrective over a lye relaxer (Elucence) ?
