Hi Ladies,

I wore my hair straight this weekend...my ends are driving me nuts...they are soooo see-throughy :ohwell: . I don't know if they are looking thinner because my texlaxed roots look a lot thicker. I can't wait to get rid of them. I only have 3 inches of texlaxed hair at this point so I can't cut them off yet.

I guess I just needed to vent that.

I don't want to chop them off but I'm sick of how they look when I wear my hair out. I only wear it out maybe 2-4 days a month. Maybe I'll dust a little:ohwell: .

Dust a little. Then wear it up. Find some cute accessories. After all, summer is coming. Perfect excuse to wear it up when you can!

Hey Rabia,

I know how you feel. I stopped wearing my hair straight for that reason--the stick straight ends were dramatically different from my texturized hair. But now that I'm down to about 1.5 inches of stick straight hair, I just want to cut them off. But they're not split or anything, just thin. I don't know what's stopping me from cutting it :ohwell: .

But, I would suggest trying to grow more hair before you get to chopping, unless you really want straight styles. I started getting my roots blown out, and I just happened to love it so much that I don't want to straighten.

HTH!

Thanks ladies...

I think I am going to dust a little tonight. Thank God my sister just graduated from college and is now home. She can dust for me and I can trust her. She know all about my goals and LHCF :)

Good luck with your hair, you got to do what's right for you!

Thanks Mizani...Good luck to you too!!!

FYI:

I had my sister dust my hair a little last night. I feel much better about the ends now. I thouroughly moisturized and sealed with oil and put them in a baggie overnight. Today I am wearing my baggie with a fake dome bun on top. Thank good for these things...I just wish they weren't so shiny.

Yaaay! I decided I am going to cut about 2 1/2 inches off too. I think I will still make my dec 06 BSL goal at the rate I am growing now I probably would have been at BSL by Autumn. But I wouldn't have felt right being at BSL with those ends.

Anyways, coongrats! You'll still reach your goals!

Yay Mizani

I'm happy to hear you will reach your goal for this year.

My goal is to reach Armpit by the end of the year...I don't know if I'll make it...I hope so. I've really kicked up my regimen for growth and retaining length (taking my vitamins, using MN, drinking tons of water, reducing my use of heat dramastically, and reducing my use of combs on dry hair). I think if nothing else I'll come close. I have maybe 3.5 inches to go before my longest layer hits that length.

I think once I get to APL, I may keep it there for a while (like maybe six months) to let some of these layers grow and catch up with the back. APL is long hair to me...so I'll be happy with it for a while. After that BSL here I come! :D :D :D :D

Awww! My sister was giving me lip yesterday too, but I wore her down and she did it for me. It took like 10 minutes, they look so much better. I will really be able to tell the next time I wear my hair out which won't be for another 2 weeks.

In fact right now I'm headed to the BSS to get another dome bun...hopefully one that's not as shiny or big as this one:lol: .
