New York-based celebrity hairstylist Dante Blandshaw created the bangin' bob worn by "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" Oscar nominee Taraji P. Henson on the big award night.

"This is a clean, fresh, modern take on a layered, textured bob," says Blandshaw. "I wanted to create a modern, asymmetrical, textured bob with natural movement and shine."
Blandshaw shares ten expert styling tips on how to achieve Taraji's tantalizing do:

STEP 1
"I started with Aveda Brilliant Shampoo, $15.30, and Aveda Brilliant Conditioner, $19.80, to soften Taraji's textured hair," says Blandshaw. "I love the Aveda Brilliant line because it provides a smooth shine to textured hair and reduces blow-dry time."

STEP 2
Prep hair with Aveda Brilliant Damage Control, $17.10, to protect from heat styling.

STEP 3

Blow-dry hair straight using a paddle brush.

STEP 4
After blow-drying, add a dime-size amount ofAveda Brilliant Universal Styling Creme, $18.90, to hair and work throughout your tresses. This cream will add additional shine without weighing hair down.

STEP 5
Flat-iron hair to create the foundation for a smooth, sleek red carpet look.

STEP 6
Using 1.5-inch and 2-inch barrel curling irons, curl hair throughout to give bend and movement, accenting the layers in the cut.

STEP 7
Slightly curl the front to create a soft, side-swept bang for added height and fullness.

STEP 9
Comb hair through with a wide-tooth comb.

STEP 10
Spray with Aveda Air Control Hair Spray, $24.30, for a light finish. "Aveda Air Control Hair Spray is a perfect complement to this look because its lightweight formula provides lasting hold and shine without weighing hair down," suggests Blandshaw.

I could probably get a weave to mimic the same style, I'm natural so a sleek look only last so long.
