I’m following the Black Girls Curls regimen. I wish I did it sooner in my hair journey. I do it once per week and it lasts, my hair stays moisturized. I recommend checking out their Instagram or website for demonstrations.

Wash 1x per week:
  1. Shampoo - AG Balance or innersence hair reassurance. Shampoo scalp and hair while finger detangle. Focus on agitating the scalp really well with finger pads or shampoo brush.
  2. Conditioner- AG Boost or Giovanni 50/50. “Squish to condish”. Detangle with a detangling brush (I use tangle teaser) from ends to roots. Rinse.
  3. Add a botanical get as a leave in
  4. Add a topper gel for definition
  5. Sit under a hooded dryer or blow dry hair with- I added this step recently and my results are so much better in every single way compared to air drying.

I second this.

With step 3, if I wear my hair curly I use a gel. If I'm wearing my hair another I use a leave in and style.

I'm too lazy for a dryer so I air dry and style the next day.

The shampoo you use is crucial. Conditioner can only do so much if the shampoo is too harsh

I third this. No oils, no butters.

I am looking for a natural regimen for growth and thickness for my teenage daughter! Please share your Reggie’s!
@Prettyeyes How does she like to wear her hair? I wear wash n goes 99% of the time and I follow a similar regimen to @fluffyforever. For thickness and retention, I would suggest, 1) low manipulation, 2) wash regularly, 3) moisturise well, with extra for the ends, 4) truly protective styles that are not too tight, with ends up and tucked away from clothing and the elements.
