Ive been struggling to let a situation go and I believe I finally had a breakthrough using the Future Husband Book (https://lacelollipops.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/futurehusbandbook.pdf) inspired by the movie "He's Just Not That Into You".
Taking the concept a step further than I believe the author (now engaged... http://lacelollipops.com/2015/10/29/real-quick-update-on-me/) originally intended, I literally went through the handbook and scratched out every quality that my current love interest does not exhibit, tallied up the total qualities (41) and measured them against the qualities he did not exhibit. For example, the total score should look like "qualities he doesnt exhibit"/41. Using this handbook as a test helped me look at the situation objectively and remove emotion from reality.
This technique has prepared me to fully embrace a future with an abundance of love, because "The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former..." (Haggai 2:9). Hopefully, this will help someone else, too.
