:drunk:hey ladies im about to take me twists out now so I wanted 2 ask a quick Q. when u take them out do u put like a conditioner or extra oil to help reduce any type of breakage or shedding in order to make the hair softer??Please Answer ladies thnx alot!

I have never had twists but when i take down braids i usually use conditioner or some prduct for detangling. I comb through my hair with a wide tooth comb to remove shed hair and tangles. This is only after i have taken out all of the braids.

I am natural, so i usually use a product that is thick and creamy such as cheap conditioners like V05 or Sauve but sometimes i use hollywood beauty castor oil hair treatment or carrot creme thats in a jar. They are cheap and they get th job done. Comb through a small section at a time very gently.

^^ that's what i do too.

i pour a handful (or more) of vo5 on my hands and coat the twists first - especially the ends, let it soak in for a few minutes, then unravel them.

i'm looking for a heavier moisture product for my ends though. i think being in so much air conditioning is drying out my hair ends :perplexed

i've been experimenting with some world of curls activator gel (extra dry hair) for the last couple days and it seems it really cuts down on potential tangles due to dry ends.

i put a real good amount on my ends as i twist them and it seems to do a descent job keeping them moister.

keeping this set in for about a week and shall see if it still works when take down time arrives  so far so good!

Hey lil sis,
I usually use conditioner (Suave or Vo5) or any kind that I just want to get rid of because I am a PJ :nono: and I mix some oils (Honey, Olive and coconut) HTH!
