Do you ladies look forward to doing your hair? I find myself looking forward to pre-pooing and dcing for hours. Is it just me?:)

This is so funny. Sometimes it is a chore and sometimes I can't wait to do it. I love deep conditioning and pampering when I have the time, but HATE roller seting. Hate. Hate. Hate.

this was me two days ago. i took a nap with my conditioner still on my head cause I was too lazy to get up and wash it out and rollerset.

I have mixed feelings. I like taking care of my hair because I know it needs TLC but sometimes I dont feel like it. But I am consistent with my regimen though.

I'll be honest and say I don't like doing my hair myself. It's a lot of work and I prefer to go to a stylist when I can. I'm happiest when it's in a secure style and I can just spray with oil sheen and go!

it really depends on my mood.
i'm lazy usually and it'll be a chore
other times i'm inspired to be cute so it's a pleasure.

It's true -

It's a thin line between love and hate.

I LOVE it when I have the time to really, really pamper my hair (pre-poo, rich shampoo, luxurious deep condish, you know - spa treatment for the hair - becuase that means that I am really, really pampering myself.

But when time is an issue - I hate that of all the things that I put into making sure that this package of a woman is looking "gorgeous," :p :p - hair has to be the IT FACTOR. If it ain't right, I ain't right.

I try hard not to let time be an issue - Making this journey a pleasure cause the hair has got to be right, BABY!!

blah, I hate doing it sometimes, which is why I've adopted the pin up technique for the week. I LOVE LOVE LOVE going to the salon, though, and seeing the progress always makes me so happy!

It's a chore.:(

Sometimes it's a chore only because I have to do three heads, but when it's a new product-man you can't beat me jumping in and out of the shower(I'm a bath product junkie too so the shower does double duty:lol: ) or if I'm feeling lazy, I'll just send my dd's out.

But it's sooo funny-I'm in training this week so on my lunch, I went and got new products. When I called home, I told my dd I had some new stuff to try, but I wanted her to apply some products to her hair first and wait for me to get home with the new poos. She was like, okay so you want me to pre-poo with xyz and cover with a cap or sit under the dryer???? I was dying-my baby has actually been listening and knows what pre pooing is. We both died laughing. So, mostly a pleasure

I don't know that I think of taking care of my hair as a chore. I place it in the same category as showering and brushing your teeth, something that just has to be done!

The end result is all pleasure though. :yep:

THE BOLDED PART

Isn't it awesome teaching the next generation about hair care? She will carry these terms on to adulthood and say the same things to her daughters. This is a very sweet and endearing story.

I used to, but at this point it's a chore and a half. I know when I BC I will love doing my own hair but dealing with two textures is no joke.

Right now...it's a pleasure because I'm anxious and excited to see progress, but I'm sure as time goes on it will begin to have some "chore-like" qualities.

It's a chore when I have to:
- moisturize/pin it up at night, and I'm really tired
- massage my hairline
- detangle new growth
- roller set or blow dry

It's a pleasure when I'm doing:
- hennas
- pre-treatments
- relaxers
- conditioner washes or regular shampoo with a deep condition
- favorite/new styles

Treat: I LOVE to deep condition my hair with heat. It feels like an a pamering home spa treatment! ;)

Chore: Detangling - I need to go slow and have more patience.

For the most part, I enjoy doing my hair, and always have. Sometimes, I sit for hours in the mirror thinking of new styles and new techniques. Sometimes, rollersetting is definitely a chore, but everything else is usually pleasurable.

Detangling is a major chore. Other than that I love doing my hair. But Detangling is essential pretty much anytime I change my style because my hair is natural. With that said I enjoy doing my hair the most when it is in some type of protective style such as box braids or twists.

I really enjoy doing my hair. I'm quite obsessive about it. In fact, I'm sitting here at work thinking about what brand of poo/conditioner I'm going to use on my hair when I get home tonight.

I will probably change my tune once I'm fully natural and my junk is a beotch to detangle, but for now, it's thoroughly enjoyable.

For the most part, I love doing my own hair! I love pre-pooing, washing and dcing. But I would have to say my least favorites, or what I would consider chores, are detangling and blowdrying. Takes too dang long.

I'm in this camp. :yep:

When I am 6 weeks post relaxer or more it is a chore.

But I actually like DCing and stuff. Everytime I DC and airdry it makes me feel one step closer to healthy hair and that I am doing something good for my hair.

I love doing my hair when I can just take time for me and do a deep conditioning treatment or a henna. I think it's a chore to do rollersetting, but now that I'm airdrying for the summer (to minimize manipulation and breakage), I am starting to like it again... ;)

It is such a pleasure for me! After a long stressful day, I look forward to washing my hair, treating it, pampering the ends! I know this sounds crazy but I treat my hair like my baby!
