How do you prepare your natural hair for braiding, do you have to blow dry?
I usually flatiron my hair before braiding or interlocking if someone else is going to do it for me. It hurts too much to leave it natural. I did blowdry it once or twice but if I'm doing it myself I just leave my hair natural and braid it like that.
What is the brand name of the hair you used for the colored individual braids, does it get tangled with your natural hair?
The hair in that pic is called Golden Queen. They discontinued it..figures
But, I use Auntie Lizzy hair now and that's just as good if not better.
Also is it easy to take out the interlocked braids.
The interlock braids are easy to take out but, I usually left those in for 8 weeks or so. It's my first time doing this wavy interlock hair so I'm not sure how taking it out is going to be. Plus it's been in going on 12 weeks. I hope it's easy. I just have to be very patient.
I ware my hair natural too and I was also wondering how did you learn how to braid so well, was it practice? I learned to braid my hair about 5 and a half years ago when I was in a town with hardly any black people and the ones that were there wanted to charge 200.00 minimum to braid my hair...I wasn't having it. So, I learned how by using wavy hair so when it's messy or doesn't turn out perfect the waviness of the hair covers up the mistakes or really bad parts I made.
I hope I have been of some help. if you have any more questions feel free to ask.
