So whenever I get into a hair rut (which is often) I put in an extension style. This is only my second time doing braids this small. I can't exactly call them micros because they are slightly bigger, but still small.

Took about 10 hours in total

Thanks for looking!

Do you braid past your hair? I did my hair with synthetic hair recently and I got so paranoid that I braided about an inch or two past my hair and I closedd it with weave glue.

Do you have any unraveling issues when you leave it as is?

I braid about 1-2 inches past my hair. My hair is natural so I have issues with the textures blending which is why I usually use kinky hair or wavy hair. Some of them I tie off and the others I leave. They unravel a bit but I tend to like the look. If some get too bad, I rebraid or tie off.

I like them! I usually braid my own hair too, been doing it for a couple of years now, and it usually takes me about the same time it took you. Yours came out very pretty!!!

You did that yourself?!!!! girl you got skills...and patience! they look really good! :yep:

Thank you ladies,

I tell people necessity is the mother of invention. When you can't afford to shell out money like that (this would cost $150), you find a way. After years of going to hairbraiders, I started paying attention to what they were doing. Then, if I'd lose a braid, I'd gain practice by replacing them. One day, I took the plunge and decided to try my hand at doing my whole head myself. The rest is history.

The patience isn't so much an issue for me anymore. I combed out about 100 locs and it took about 75 hours lol. Once you do something like that, everything else seems like a breeze LOL
